Who are you?

Awana is a weekly ministry which provides a fun environment for children and youth ages 3-18 to learn God’s Word. Each week, Awana provides teaching and training to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, helping ‘clubbers’ learn about the reality of God and the truth of the Bible.

Awana meets from September through May on Sundays from 4:30-6:15 pm. Our vision is for children learn to know, love and serve Jesus Christ! Registration is ongoing and kids are accepted throughout the year. However, acceptance in the program is based on the numbers of leaders volunteering in the class.

All Awana parents/guardians are requested to serve in some capacity. Your commitment makes Awana run with excellence.  The best volunteer for your child   is a volunteer who is present each week.  Registration fees are $50.00 before July 1 and $55.00 thereafter.

What do you do?

A typical night at Awana is broken down into 3 segments:

Game Time – A key principle of Awana is that Awana is exciting and FUN!  Every Awana meeting involves high-energy, active games with lots of team competition to foster community and unleash clubbers’ natural enthusiasm.

Handbook Time – Using achievement-oriented learning segments, Awana handbooks emphasize the importance of God’s Word in knowing Him, living according to His Word, and sharing the Gospel. Clubbers meet individually and in small groups with their class leaders to discuss what they learn in their handbook lessons and to recite the verses they’ve memorized.

Large Group Time –  involves awards and group Bible study that is tailored to the ages of the clubbers and supports the lessons they learn in their handbooks.

Additionally, special theme nights throughout the year cultivate a spirit of fun and community, and clubbers are encouraged to invite their friends.

Where do I go?

The greeters will give you a map and indicate where you need to drop off your student.  A greeter may guide you to the initial class.
 

How do I check in?

Awana Check-in opens at 4:15 pm every Sunday. Check-in stations are located down the hall to the right from the front door entrance. If you’re visiting us for the first time, you will need to fill out a quick registration card to receive your child’s entry sticker. The sticker serves two purposes:

  • Child Pick-up – You must present your portion of the sticker before we release your child. If you lose it you need to present your ID at the check-in desk.
  • At Check-in, children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or older sibling who is 16 or older. Children may not check themselves in.

From the classroom where you dropped them off!
