We glorify God by making disciples and multiplying churches in Greater Washington, D.C. Much of our disciple-making in the D.C. area occurs through our members’ personal witness in their offices, schools, and neighborhoods. But we also unite together in structured outreach to make disciples and multiply churches in our communities.
God has equipped each believer with talents and gifts to be His witness in the world. In Local Outreach, we provide a variety of opportunities for church members to serve in different communities, from children’s programming to box packing, as we build on the foundation and connections MBC created during the pandemic. We recognize that we can’t meaningfully make disciples in a community if we are there only a few times a year, so we encourage you to join us as we establish and maintain an ongoing presence throughout our area.

While the first quarter of each year is always a bit slow as we recovery from extra efforts during the holidays, and brave the cold, we do have opportunities to get involved. The most important first step to serving anywhere is to join our eNews letter signup here.
MBC members also lead several outreach ministries serving groups or causes about which they’re passionate—whether adoption and foster care or support packages for troops serving abroad. We also have ethnic fellowships which often lead outreach efforts in those ethnic communities locally. Check out our Ministry Directory for a full list of our outreach ministries.
