Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12)

Life as a teen in Loudoun County can be tough. You are not in it alone! Our student ministry (grades 6-12) is a place for students to grow spiritually, make friends, and impact the lives of their peers. We gather weekly to experience the good news of Jesus in real and relevant ways. We aim to know truth and build relationships between students & leaders so that our students’ hearts for God will grow.

Sundays

Middle School Student Community (11 am)

Middle school students (6-8 grade) gather most Sunday mornings at 11 am for an engaging and interactive lesson on foundational elements of Christianity. The 4^th Sunday of each month is our “Student Sunday” where instead of MS Community, our Middle School students are specifically encouraged to worship alongside their families and friends in the MBC Loudoun main weekly worship gathering.

High School Classes  (2^nd Sunday of the month | 12:45-1:45 pm)

High school students (9-12 grade) meet on the 2^nd Sunday of the month after the 11 am worship gathering for lunch & a class on difficult & relevant topics. We strive to teach our high school students to engage God’s Word in a post-Christian culture and equip them for life beyond high school.

Weekly, our high school students participate in our main worship gatherings and can sit among peers in our “Student Section” at 11 am, located in the front right of the auditorium.

Level Up (1^st Sunday of the month |12:45-1:45 pm)

10^th to 12^th grade students who desire to go deeper and grow in leadership are invited to participate in Level Up, our student leadership group. Each month we meet to get student feedback on the direction of the ministry, to pray for our student ministry, and for further discipleship with assigned homework.

All 10^th to 12^th grade students are welcome to join this group! However, the following criteria must be met to participate:

• Actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus in day-to-day life
• Regularly serving in our church
• Regular attendance & participation in Rock and Level Up
• Commitment to complete the homework assignments

Wednesday Night

Home Groups (7-8:30 pm)

Join us on Wednesday evenings for our Home Groups! Each week our MS Students and HS Students meet at separate houses. We play a game all together and then transition to age and gender-specific small groups. Our groups are a time for students to engage God’s Word together in authentic Christian community. We strive to know God, know our identity in Him and grow in relationships with our peers & leaders. These host homes are provided by members of our church family. Addresses are sent out in our weekly parent newsletter, which you can sign-up for on the right side of this page.

At camp, students get away from all the distractions of life in the DMV and spend a few days living the life God designed for them—worshipping the Lord, studying His word, and spending time with His people. While away, students have the chance to make and build deep friendships while participating in tons of fun adventures, competitions, and activities. Year after year, we’ve seen God change students’ lives and eternities through camp.

HS Summer Camp | July 13-17
MS Summer Camp | August 1-4

Wednesday Night Small Group Leaders (7-8:30 pm on Wednesday nights)

• Engage in games, conversations and small group Bible studies in age & gender specific setting.
• Connect with students in your small group throughout the week.

Sunday Table Leaders (11 am worship gathering)

• Engage & build relationships with students on Sunday mornings.
• Lead & facilitate conversations about the lesson in smaller groups

Sunday Check-in Station (10:50 am- 11:15 am)

• Manage check-in for student arrival
• Create a warm first impression & help connect new students.

Sunday Set-up Team (8:30 am-9 am)

• Help set up the Rock space for our weekly Student Community.

Sunday Tear-down Team (12:30 pm- 12:45 pm)

• Help clean up the Rock space after our weekly Student Community.

Mentorship

• Meet 1-2x a month with a student to talk about life & faith and point them to Jesus.

• Organize and/or host special events for MS or HS students (game night, bonfire, movie night, etc.)
• Host homes for weekly Home Groups (accommodate ~30 students & space for 4 different small groups to meet)
• Social media management (help with creating & posting content)
• Serve on MS Summer Camp/ HS & MS Winter Camp Adventure Crew (run ropes course, zip line, giant swing, etc. at NorthBay. Training provided. Age 18+ required)
• Serve on HS Winter Camp/ MS Summer Camp Kitchen Crew (help cook, serve & clean up meals for students at camp)
• Help with Summer / Winter Camp check-in process
• Coordinate Locations for Summer/ Winter Camp Drop-off & Pick-up
