The Rock
Who are you?

Life as a teen in Montgomery County comes with many challenges. You are not in it alone! Our youth ministry (grades 6-12) is a place for students to make friends, grow spiritually, and impact the lives of others.  We gather weekly in small and large groups to experience the good news of Jesus in real and relevant ways.

We strive to connect students with God, our leaders, and each other in an environment where we can have fun, wrestle with difficult questions through God’s Word, and be real with each other. We long for students to make a difference in their spheres of influence and to reach the nations for Jesus.

We can’t wait to meet you!

What do you do?

Sundays

Every Sunday at 11 AM, we gather for worship and aim to equip students with a knowledge of God’s Word and tools to live as a Christian in this society.

Mid-Week Gathering

We meet on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Rock Room (except for the first Wednesday of the month when First Friday outings occur).  Our mid-week gathering is a great way to spend time in community, develop relationships with leaders and grow in your faith while having a fun.  Our doors are open to all students, so feel free to bring a friend along with you.

Every meeting begins with dinner and an opportunity to hang out. After we jump into some large group games, we dive into a small group study grouped by grade or gender.

School Outreaches

We partner with the Montgomery County FCA to bring Bible studies or “huddles” to various schools in the county as an outreach.  These huddles create more spaces for Gospel conversations. This is a great way to connect with other Rock students or friends who don’t have a home church. Visit the Montgomery County Fellowship of Christian Athletes page for a list of FCA huddles at public and private schools in our area.

The Rock Virtual Winter Camp
January 29-30, 2021

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the Rock staff will be hosting a virtual 2021 Winter Camp experience! This year’s theme is A Better Way. We will dive into a short series on Psalm 119 to instill a heart for God’s word in our students, especially during a pandemic. The theme will be implemented into the programs and breakout sessions.
