Leadership

The Lord began pursuing me from a young age. Born in Seattle and having lived in the DC-metro area since I was three, my parents, who are not yet saved, sent me to Fairfax Christian School through eighth grade. I had daily exposure to the Gospel, attended church with a family named the Hoffman’s, and prayed the sinner’s prayer with my 4th grade teacher. Yet it wasn’t until my sophomore year at JMU that I gave my life to Christ and was baptized that winter. I was not yet on the straight and narrow, but God had taken my heart of stone and given me a heart of flesh. He continued to bring people into my life who were a few steps ahead in their walk with the Lord to invest in and disciple me.

MBC has been my church home since 2010 when I began attending Frontline Arlington with a few close friends. Through biblical teaching and solid small group leaders, I began to see that it is God’s kindness, forbearance, and patience that leads me to repentance. The Lord Jesus was revealing His ways to me more and more, sanctifying me, and creating in me a willingness to yield to Him.

I began serving as a leader with the Front Door ministry at MBC Arlington in 2014, met my wife Priscilla while serving together, began leading a Men’s Bible study, was discipled by Pastor Eric Saunders, joined the Servant Leadership Team, and began serving as a Lay Pastor in early 2019. Priscilla and I, along with our two young children Ella and Cyrus, moved to Centreville, VA last summer, 2021, and now attend MBC PW. By God’s grace we were quickly welcomed and plugged into PW by Pastor Todd and several other faithful leaders, including a Families Group and a Friday morning Men’s group. I have had the privilege of being mentored by Tom McMahon since 2018 and others, who I regard as spiritual fathers.

I have a Master’s Degree in Public Health and an MBA, have a particular passion for the healthcare industry, and serve as the Director of Operations for Medical Specialties at Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) in Arlington, VA.  I previously served as an Associate Director of Revenue Cycle for the Advisory Board Company leading multiple Revenue Cycle Consulting engagements across the country. While at VHC, I have led several growth initiatives including full scale practice acquisitions and integrations.  Outside of work and ministry, I love spending time with family and friends, being anywhere sunny and near water, playing golf when I can, and helping people increasingly grow in their delight in the Lord and in His Word.
