MBC Loudoun Location Pastor | Loudoun

After my freshmen year at Auburn University, the Lord showed me my deep need for His mercy. I grew up in a culturally Christian context. I understood the truth claims of Christianity. I even would have identified as a Christian. However, I knew things about God but did not know God. I wanted heaven for my future but desired the things of this world in the meantime. God was so gracious with me in that season to reveal my sin toward Him, my hardened heart toward His rule and reign, and ultimately, by His grace, to bring me to a place of repentance and faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Early in my days of following Jesus, I had such a hunger for God’s Word. I wanted to know God and help others know Him, and I saw that I needed to know His Word for this to happen. I was discipled by my Pastor, who taught me how to study the Word, share the love of Christ with those who were far from God, and help others follow Jesus. In that season, I discerned a calling to vocational ministry and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry.

I have had the honor of serving on pastoral teams in Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia. Also, God has placed a burden in my life for those who are born into this world with little to no access to the gospel of Jesus. Out of that burden, the Lord led our family, alongside a church planting team, to the Middle East, where we lived for five years. Opening fitness gyms and working as personal trainers, we were able to share the love of God in Christ Jesus with many as disciple-makers among the unreached.

Brook and I have been married for 20 years, and we have five boys, from 19 years of age down to 10. Brook is my best friend and my closest partner in gospel ministry. She is an exemplary wife and such a gifted woman of God. Each of my boys is my closest disciple, and it has been such an adventure being their dad and a tremendous honor to train them up in the Lord in our home while trusting God with their salvation.

My family and I moved to Metro DC in the summer of 2019 to join the pastoral team at Mclean Bible Church. It is a joy to serve this church family and to join the long line of faithful pastors who have led and cared for the brothers and sisters at MBC. In the summer of 2020, I began to serve as Location Pastor at MBC Loudoun. Seeing God’s provision through these past years in Loudoun has given me so much gratitude. There is such excitement to be a part of what the Lord is doing in Loudoun and across all of our MBC locations as God continues to display His goodness and grace through His church and positions us for greater impact.
