2 Timothy 3:16 says that the Bible is “God-breathed”: full of words that He arranged specifically for us. Just as we get to know one another through time spent together, speaking and listening, we get to know God in the same way. It’s more than just reading; it’s meditation and response through our prayers and the way we live. God’s Word grounds us in truth, refines us, and helps us understand ourselves, Him, and the world around us. The more we read, the more Christlike we are able to become, and the more beautiful we find our God and Savior.

OUR 2026 PLAN

On January 1, 2026, we’ll begin a new two-year Bible reading plan with six days of reading per week and one catch-up. Our prayer is that reading slowly through God’s Word will allow you deep engagement, meditation, and prayer! You can download Year 1 by clicking the button below. To help with this first year of journeying through the Bible, make sure to check out the recommended resources.

PSALMS OF PRAYER

We’ve included one Psalm each day as an additional option for you to slowly pray through, making its words your own. You can add it to your daily Bible reading time or use it later in the day to help you refocus on God (e.g. for 10 minutes during your lunch break, on the Metro, or in the evening before bed).

Finishing up the 2025 plan with us? Find that here through the end of the year.

HOW TO PREPARE

Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the reading plan beginning January 1, 2026!

Ask God to give you what you need to commit to consistent Bible reading over this next year.

Talk to your Church Group, family, or friends about the Bible reading plan. Share your concerns and struggles and ask for their help in formulating a plan.

Yes, this is a Bible reading plan. But the goal is not to check the box every day. The goal is to hear from and commune with God. He’s not grading you based on how up to date you are in the plan. He loves you and delights in you showing up to spend time with Him.

Think in advance about how you’ll incorporate Bible reading into your daily life. For example, set aside time every morning. Or you could make it a goal to finish the day’s reading by the end of the day instead of forcing yourself to finish it all in one chunk. Consider splitting up the reading throughout the day, e.g. a chapter or two in the morning, pausing during the day to read a chapter, and finishing the day’s reading at night. You could also consider incorporating an audio Bible to help you supplement your Bible reading. The point is you don’t have to box yourself into one specific time or approach. Think creatively and make a plan that works for you.
