Craig Proulx

Elder | Tysons

Craig was born and raised in upstate New York and became a Christian at the age of 18 after some rough years. He attended Houghton College, a Christian liberal arts college where he received degrees in biology and chemistry. Upon graduation, he moved to Washington, DC and went to work in the Department of Defense consulting business. He began attending MBC in 1980 and a few years later met his wife Brenda there. They have two grown children, Sarah, who is a Doctor of Physical Therapy living in Norfolk, VA and a son, Wilson, who has an M.Div. and resides in Lynchburg, VA.  His passion is for the lost and he has led hundreds of mission trips around the world to remote places. He has become an expert in global missions and assists large U.S. churches with their global missions planning and execution. His desire for the lost has allowed him to experience the persecuted church up close. His favorite verse is Hebrews 13:5, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” His grandmother would whisper in his ear, “I would rather have Jesus than silver or gold.”
